The 2018 Gosford team,
Welcome everyone, seven boats and a great team. This J24 regatta is held at Gosford Sailing Club GSC on beautiful Brisbane Waters
Our objective is to get you excited about racing and hopefully get you to work less and sail more. I am delighted that you are able to join my favourite weekend on our sailing calendar. Many of last years group have either joined the Club or are regularly crewing, I hope that I get to see you sailing on a regular basis as well.
Regardless of what stage you are up to in your sailing courses , this regatta is not as serious as the States or Nationals. It is just great fun and a great introduction to racing.
Regards Terry Wise

All crews should be at GSC by 1030 on Saturday morning, please have available $50 (no ATM, bring cash) for the J24 membership registration . This allows you to race in any J24 regatta in Australia. You will be given temporary guest membership at GSC for the duration of the regatta.

Racing starts around 1200 hours. Plan to be at the Club/boat by 1000 hours each day. Bring a sandwich, PSS will supply water and snakes. Usually 3 races per day of around 40 minutes each.
This is on a volunteer basis and not part of the costing for the weekend. You are invited to crew and help sail the boats to Gosford and return to Sydney. We will only do this if the conditions are favourable. It is a great opportunity to get on the helm and enjoy our fantastic coastline and inland waterways. Please bring appropriate wet weather gear , sunscreen and food for the day. We will have water on board. In the event that the weather is not suitable we will trailer the boats.
Meet at PSS office CYCA – 0700 Friday 28th September for a 0730 departure. Bring your own lunch, wet weather gear. PSS will supply water. We will have a stop at Box Head where we can go ashore and use toilet facilities. Arrival at GSC is usually around 1600 hours. We like to leave Gosford on Monday around 0800 hours.
