Course provided by Pacific Sailing School
Located at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.
Student Instructor ratio: 1 to 4 on J24 Keelboats
Courses Duration: 2 x 6 hour practical sessions
Cost: $795 ($695 for groups of 2 or more) + $95 AS Insurance
Beginners Class
Start Skippering
This course equips participants with advanced sailing and boat handling techniques; take out a small yacht in familiar waters by day and/ or progress into the RYA Yacht Training Scheme
Includes:
- 2 x 6 hour days of practical lessons on Sydney Harbour
- 1 x Theory and Social Evening, followed by fine wine in the Yacht Club
Practical Course Content:
- Safety, responsibility and risk management
- Complete several sailing skills as a helmsperson
- IRPCS
- Meteorology
- Local Knowledge
Keelboat - Start Skippering Course
- Single Person Price: $795
- Groups 2 or More: $695 pp (If this is your first course)
- Next course: Essential Navigation and Seamanship, Safety and Sea Survival, Marine Radio Operating
- Plus $95 Australian Sailing registration, insurance on school boats, logbook, textbook. (If it is your first course at Pacific Sailing School)
