Welcome aboard and to the wonderful world of sailing on the waterways of Cronulla.
Joining Instructions - Important Notes
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time.
Please give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you can’t make your lesson, inside that time a $100 instructor reschedule fee per lesson scheduled applies as we have committed to the Instructor.
On arrival, please complete the disclaimer with your next of kin. We have water, factor 50, and wet weather gear if required.
What to Bring
Dress for the weather in casual gear – On board bring a cap, sunscreen (we have sunscreen), sunglasses and soft-soled rubber shoes. Dunlop Volleys are good – available online or from Kmart or Big W for $35 as they have a great grip (no black or leather soled shoes please). Please note: Bare feet, thongs & heels are not allowed. There are shower facilities at the Club that you are more than welcome to use or get changed in afterward as well. We recommend that you do not wear chunky jewelry or good watches on board & phones, keys should also be securely stored in zipped pockets or bags. You are more than welcome to leave bags below.
Practice Sessions
, Practice sails will be available for 6 weeks after the last lesson at our base at the CYCA on a standby basis (call and book the day before). A great way to refresh, stay in touch with sailing, or redo a lesson.
