That is why we have worked closely with a number of providers to bring you the best in eLearning and Practical courses.

RADIO: NO CLASSROOM COMPONENT, LEARNING IS ALL ONLINE

SSSC: eLearning THEORY ONLINE WITH 3 HOUR PRACTICAL DRILLS – WE DO NOT SPEND 2 DAYS IN A CLASSROOM

Category 1 and 2 Offshore Races require the following:

  • 50% of crew plus Skipper or Navigator with Safety and Sea Survival certification (60% for Hobart)
  • 2 crew with Marine Radio licenses
  • 2 crew with First Aid

SAFETY AND SEA SURVIVAL (FULL COURSE)

eLearning & Practical

Ditch the face-to-face classroom and study in your own time with our online eLearning course. Then attend 3-hours of practical drills (flares and pool).
Full course: 6-hours eLearning.

World Sailing (ISAF) and Australian Sailing approved.

Pool located within 15 minutes of the CYCA.

SAFETY & SEA SURVIVAL (REVALIDATION)

eLearning & Practical

Due for renewal, or have a certificate that is less than two years out of date?

Complete our online revalidation course (3-4 hours) and then attend the practical drills (pool and flares).

World Sailing (ISAF) and Australian Sailing approved.
Pool located within 15 minutes of the CYCA.

Practical

For those looking for the pool and flare component, as you've completed your theory elsewhere.

Attend our practical drills (pool & flares) and we'll sign this component off with AS.

MARINE RADIO (VHF/hf)

eLearning & Practical

The LROCP qualification allows the operator to operate VHF and MF/HF marine telephone equipment. Complete 6-hours eLearning, then join us for your practical session and invigilated exam.

This course is suitable for recreational boaters, Masters on vessels less than 35 meters and anyone who sails on a vessel with INMARSAT.

Learn to manage casualties in a wet marine environment, prepare for water-based injuries and deliver CPR safely.
