Start Crewing
The best way to start sailing – on board right from lesson one and a great way to see the Harbour and meets lots of new people.
Start Helming
After Start Crewing, Start Helming and Start Skippering courses, you will have the confidence to skipper a small yacht on the Harbour.
Spinnaker Course
To crew, most Clubs and Skippers around the world need crew with spinnaker experience knowledge. A great step to get on board.
Start Skippering
Two 6 hour days of advanced practical skills to give you the confidence to skipper a yacht up to 12 metres.
Start Racing
Two 6 hour days, with the morning training in starts, spinnaker sets and drops, by afternoon the crew are ready to race.
THEORY & SOCIAL
This is an informative and fun social evening held at either the CYCA or RANSA starting at 1800.
Engage with our Instructors as they teach you the theory components of Keelboat Courses, then join us for dinner/snacks afterwards with drinks courtesy of PSS

PRACTICAL Private lessons
Practical
- We offer private lessons as an option for all our Start Crewing, Start Helming and Competent Crew Courses.
- Or you can book an Instructor for tuition on any practical sailing aspect - helming, parking, boat setup etc. Available on an hourly basis (minimum 2 hours) with a qualified instructor.

We have made so many friends out on the water on their excellent range of boats with instructors Terry, Gardo, Phil and Damien – not to mention great introductions in the CYCA. 2.5 years ago I moved to Australia from the UK on my own. As 'Billy no mates' (as I left friends and family behind), I spent my first full day in Australia at a sailing lesson Pacific Sailing School . I had lessons, did my dayskipper course, various boat deliveries, raced on as many days of the week as possible whilst still being able to earn a living, with the goal of learning to sail as fast as possible, and working towards doing the #rolexsydneyhobart race, one of the world's most famous offshore races. Not only have I fulfilled a dream, but we won on phs handicap, came third out of all non professional crews (Corinthians), and to top it off I won 'Best on Boat'. Literally couldn't be happier!! 😍🎉

Thank you to everyone at Pacific Sailing School. I have thoroughly enjoyed the competent crew course. Everyone has been so open and welcoming. The instructors have been first class and the course content has been challenging but rewarding. The support team have been excellent, welcoming, open and knowledgeable. I look forward to sailing more and working less.
