spinnaker racing
The Network Marine Insurance Monday Twilight Series has a start time of 1830 hours, except the first and last two weeks when the race start is 1730 hours. It is split into a Spring (Race 3-8) and Summer (Race 9-16) point score series and offers plenty of opportunity for spinnaker practice, providing excellent crew training.
With the start line close to the entrance of Rushcutters Bay and an average of 40-50 boats participating, this is an exciting introduction to fleet racing.
Monday racing is a fantastic opportunity to put your spinnaker skills to the test and get the feeling of racing, and don’t forget about a debrief at the CYCA afterwards.
Our Keelboat Competent Crew Program and Keelboat Spinnaker Graduates have one twilight race included in their package.
Preference for trimming and fore deck positions will be given to Spinnaker Graduates.

Non spinnaker racing
The RANSA Summer Twilight Friday night racing starts in October and continues through to March.
With a dock departure time of 5.15pm this is always a wonderful way to finish a working week.
Buy an individual race or 4 consecutive races and get the 5th free.
After racing we head down to the RANSA clubhouse to catch up with other crews, have a bite to eat and a drink while waiting for the hotly contested results. This is a laid-back club, with the bar staffed by volunteers and is always a favourite series with our students.
