AUSTRALIAN SAILING and RYA training centre

Pacific Sailing School has a strong and dedicated team of Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Yachtmasters and Australian Sailing (AS) Instructors.

Our RYA Cruising Instructors deliver Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster practical and theory and Yachtmaster preparation courses for the RYA Exams.  The majority of these Instructors have spent many years ocean racing and love sharing their passion.

We have a core of Australian Sailing Instructors who are regularly supplemented by our International visitors.  All have extensive sailing experience and are passionate and love sailing.

We love being able to offer our students a variety of Instructors and welcome suitably qualified applicants who are in Australia for 6 months or more.

If you are interested in joining our team, please email your resume to [email protected]

ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION (RYA)

We teach the RYA practical syllabus on Seawind Catamarans and Beneteau Monohulls during 5-day/4-night liveaboard courses.

Our shorebased theory courses are a blend of online eLearning and Virtual Sessions with RYA Yachtmaster Instructors.

AUSTRALIAN SAILING (AS)

Our Australian Sailing syllabus is taught on Internation J24 keelboats.

We teach every day of the week, with sessions at 9am and 12.30pm.

We also compete in twilight races and weekend Harbour races.

Our AS Instructors also attend Theory & Social Evenings and have the opportunity to upskill to RYA courses.

SAILING ADVISORS

Our Sailing Advisors are based in our office at The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.

We are open 7 days a week, with Advisors working either full or part time regular hours.

Good interpersonal and computer skills are required and a knowledge of sailing is advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
